Nicole R. S. Coleman, M. A., is an Implementation Specialist for Michigan’s Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative. (MIBLSI) . She received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. Nicole's teaching experience includes both the middle school and high school settings, primarily within urban school districts. In addition, she has also served as a curriculum writer of new courses intended to support literacy in all content areas. Most recently, Nicole worked as a Literacy Consultant and Instructional Coach for Kalamazoo RESA, where she supported secondary schools in implementing best practices in literacy instruction. Nicole strongly believes that a passionate teacher can change the direction of a child’s life, therefore, her goal is to support teachers in maintaining their passion by equipping, empowering and edifying them as they work towards positively shaping their students' future.
