Amber currently serves as the K-6 Director of Evidence Based Learning and Achievement in Canyons School District. Prior to joining Canyons, Amber was an educational specialist for the Utah Personnel Development Center, where she co-directed Utah’s RtI training initiative that integrates academics, social behavior, and teacher coaching. Amber has consulted school districts locally and nationally in the areas of Response to Intervention (RtI) and reading instruction and assessment. Amber is a certified teacher, reading specialist, and administrator. Her experience and expertise in reading, assessment, intervention, and systems change have been integral in the development and implementation of Utah’s 3 Tier Model of Reading Instruction, and other state policy guidelines.
