| Twelve years in the business world as an engineer/project manager and now 17 years in public education gives Mr. Vail a unique perspective on the interaction between schools, businesses, and communities and the need to focus on important student outcomes. Passionate about improving a child’s lot in life through education, Mr. Vail serves as a state trainer and coach for data-based, decision-making initiatives in literacy and behavior at both the elementary and secondary level. Understanding that the biggest impact for kids is improving the instruction in the classroom, Mr. Vail works directly with teachers in both training and classroom settings on classroom management, instructional strategies, formative assessments, collaborative data meetings, and effective literacy instruction. Over the past several years, John has developed the content and conducted numerous trainings for teachers, administrators, and community agencies both locally and state-wide. |
